Purchasing a Zent System

Purchasing a Zent System
Zent The Zent system is produced for use in all seasons and is available in three configurations: floor-standing, horizontal, and ceiling-mounted. The name “Zent” derives from the combination of “winter”, “midseason”, and “summer” in Persian, emphasizing the system’s year-round capability.

Zent System Design
For cooling, the Zent functions similarly to an evaporative cooling system, while its heating operation is with a hot water coil designed for winter use. This means its summer ventilation is similar to an evaporative cooler, while its winter ventilation resembles a basic air handling unit.
Hot water required for the Zent system can be supplied through a heating boiler or a central packaged heating system.

Key Components of the Zent System

Blower fan
Circulation pump
Water nozzles
Cellulose panels

Benefits of Zent

Providing fresh air and creating positive air pressure
More compact than air washers
Lightweight construction, reducing the structural load required for installation
Suitable for all seasons (cooling and heating)

Drawbacks of Zent

Inefficient in areas with high humidity
Consumes large amounts of water
Lack of control over the air temperature (in hot seasons)
Not ideal for places such as gyms or banquet halls, where large gatherings produce substantial latent heat, making the humidified air output unsuitable.

 Zent System Installation and Maintenance

For centralized systems, the rooftop or boiler room is the recommended location.
Ensure the Zent unit is installed on a moisture-resistant surface.
Acoustic insulation may be used to provide residential comfort.
Regularly inspect the cellulose pads or panels before use, replacing them if they are damaged.
