Classification of Air Conditioning Units

Summer Units: These devices are used in summer to cool down the air. Some examples are air conditioners, evaporative coolers, etc.
Dual-Season Units: These systems work throughout both the hot and cold seasons. They can either operate as an integrated unit or as separate systems working simultaneously to heat and cool the environment, such as Air Handling Units (AHU), fan coils, chillers, etc.

Fan coil units offer several features, such as temperature regulation, and controlling consistent heating and cooling in various parts of a building.

A chiller is a device that cools water by extracting heat from it. The cooled water is then used by systems such as fan coils and air handling units.
Chillers are mainly used in two areas: Air Conditioning (to cool the air inside a space), and industrial spaces (to maintain water temperature or cool machinery).
Chillers can be classified into two types based on their energy source:
Compression Chillers: These chillers use electricity to cool water.
Absorption Chillers: These chillers use thermal energy as a power source.
What is a VRF System?
A VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) system consists of an outdoor unit and several indoor units, with all the indoor units connected to the outdoor unit.
